The balance masterclass offers a broad perspective of the management of complex patients that is suitable for any physician working with patients with dizziness and imbalance, including doctors, physiotherapists and audiologists.
We will address the management of acute vertigo, including advances in management of BPPV. We will also assess the differential diagnosis of chronic vertigo, reviewing the diagnostic tools that can support this. Differentials such as vestibular migraine and PPPD will be discussed, giving attendees the opportunity to discuss other complex cases. Current approaches to vestibular rehabilitation will also be presented.
The course is supported by Prof Diego Kaski (consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery) and Dr David Herdman (Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at St George’s Hospital and research fellow at University College London).
