This new workshop focuses on recent innovations in paediatrics and discusses how these exciting new developments can be applied to offer a more comprehensive paediatric service.
This course will cover a broad range of paediatric areas. It will cover the application of a recent addition to the paediatric test battery, the aided cortical test. This test provides particular benefit in validating aided benefit for infants too young for subjective hearing tests. We will also look at recent innovations in early years paediatric assessment focussing mainly on visual reinforcement audiometry. The course will also include an overview of innovations in paediatric diagnostics, and how tests such as wideband tympanometry and pressurised OAEs can add detail and greater accuracy to a clinician’s diagnostic test battery.
The workshops will give participants the opportunity to have hands-on experience of the techniques discussed.
