Tympanometry Course

Tympanometry is a powerful diagnostic tool that reveals a great deal about how the middle ear is functioning. This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to tympanometry.
This workshop would be particularly useful to newly qualified clinicians or clinicians looking to offer tympanometry in their clinics and are seeking experience.
This course will review anatomy and function of the auditory pathways involved, the principles of tympanometric testing and interpretation of results. It will cover application in both adult and paediatric populations. It will also cover acoustic reflex testing and how this is still an important part of a test battery. We will also introduce wideband tympanometry, a very powerful diagnostic tool that provides additional information over and above traditional single probe tone tympanometry. Extensive hands-on practical sessions using Interacoustics Titans will be provided
